💰 Compensation: ~ $70,000 - $80,000 + $2,500/month Experience Fund to fund unforgettable experiences

The Role

We’re not looking for a traditional social media manager. We’re building an outdoor adventure creator.

Popfly is giving the right person the opportunity of a lifetime: to create, travel, and build a social presence that is equal parts aspirational and insightful.

You’ll be our on-the-ground storyteller, creating content that speaks directly to our Popfly audience—brand marketers, social strategists, and adventure creators. You’ll showcase how to create impactful content, explore new places and how to balance it all. If you’ve ever dreamed of working from a beach in Costa Rica, a treehouse in Oregon, or a yurt in Maine, while building something that matters, this is for you.

The Challenge

We believe this role will  change how brands view social media careers.

Most brands hire a social media person, give them little to no budget, and expect them to chase loose ends. That’s not how Popfly operates.

The person running our socials won’t be in an office posting old school static graphics and trying to prove the power of social media. Your work will be creative, fun and energizing—but it will be work. A lot of it.

Social media work is important work. We’re not just going to post on LinkedIn about why brands should take social media more seriously—we’re going to actually do it. What You’ll Do

  • Be the central personality and the driving creative force behind Popfly’s social channels.
  • Create high-impact content  that drives engagement, and conversations.
  • Engage with our community —responding to comments and DMs daily plus joining industry conversations.
  • Host brand and creator meetups to build relationships and drive engagement.
  • Speak alongside our founder about how social media management should actually be done.
  • Actively study trends, audience behavior, and the  algorithms to optimize growth.
  • Collaborate with Popfly’s team to align content with our mission and initiatives.

  • An experienced outdoor adventurer – must have experience working with outdoor or travel companies either on the brand side or creator side 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Content creation and video editing—you shoot, cut, and deliver top-tier content.
  • Taking epic adventures—throughout the United States and beyond.
  • Growing Popfly’s social—learning firsthand what it takes to build a creator driven business.
  • Publishing content and engaging our audience connecting with fellow creators, and continuously learning what works.
  • Collaborating across the team– you can work from anywhere but will be expected to join multiple weekly meetings around your adventures.
