It's more like attempting your first  14'er mountain climb... in steel-toe work boots.

So, why bother adding a second job to your already packed schedule? For me, it's the same driving force that brought me to Alaska: to live and remember. Ditch the "side hustle" mentality right now. When you're trying to figure out how to become a UGC creator with limited free time, you're not just dabbling; you're launching a brand, building a business. This means embracing some new (and essential) routines:

  • Strategic Time Blocking: This is where the rubber meets the road. I work 8 AM-5 PM, Monday through Friday. Factor in an hour and a half daily for my dog, Odin, and my "free time" is already shrinking.

Here's my typical week, where I dedicate roughly 20-25 additional work hours to UGC:

Tuesday-Friday Evenings: Plotting storylines, researching trends, and mapping out content direction. This is the ideation stage.

Saturdays: My dedicated content capture day. I batch everything I can here to maximize efficiency.

Monday Evenings: Editing, refining, and uploading content for Tuesday/Wednesday posts or sending it off to partners.

Ongoing: Sneaking in market research, portfolio organization, and community engagement whenever possible.

This is how I do it, but you can definitely modify your schedule based on how much time it takes you to do each task! It might sound like a lot but understanding this commitment upfront is key to figuring out how to become a UGC creator sustainably.
