The Role

We’re not looking for a traditional social media manager. We’re building an influencer.

Popfly is giving the right person the opportunity of a lifetime: to create, travel, and build a social presence that is equal parts aspirational and insightful.

You’ll be our on-the-ground storyteller, creating content that speaks directly to our audience—brand marketers, social strategists, and creators of all kinds. You’ll showcase how to be successful, how to balance it all, and how to live the creator-life while treating our planet with respect.

Most brands hire a social media person, give them little to no budget, and expect them to chase loose ends. That’s not how Popfly operates.

The person running our socials won’t be in an office posting static graphics and trying to prove why you should still be employed. Your work should be life-giving—but it will be work. A lot of it.

What You’ll Do

  • Be one of the central personalities and the driving creative force behind Popfly’s social channels (Instagram first, but also TikTok and YouTube Shorts—and more as we expand).
  • Create high-impact reels and stories that drive engagement, shares, and conversations.
  • Develop and execute a meme strategy that is enjoyed by and resonates with our audience.
  • Own the content strategy and execution—with support from a small, nimble team.
  • Engage with our community daily—responding to DMs and leading industry conversations.
  • Host exclusive brand and creator chats to build relationships and drive engagement.
  • Speak alongside our founder about how social media management should actually be done.
  • Actively study trends, audience behavior, and social algorithms to optimize growth.
  • Collaborate with Popfly’s team to align content with our mission and initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Video editing—always staying ahead of social trends.
  • Taking epic adventures—more than one per month.
  • Creating storyline content (e.g. Life Running a High-Performing Social Channel”)—showing what it’s really like when a brand gets it.
  • Growing Popfly’s social to the point where brands want to advertise with us—learning firsthand what it takes to build a creator business.
  • Engaging our audience, connecting with fellow creators, and continuously learning what works.
